I certainly understand and respect the concerns around COVID and we all want to stay safe.
Having come from a background as a food safety manager, the safety of the float rooms has been my utmost priority since before COVID-19 was a thing that we talked about. Above and beyond what we already have had in place since the beginning, I will summarize the additional safety and disinfection protocols that we have implemented for your safety and peace of mind:
- all appointments are spaced further apart with an hour between appointments, there's no overlap with you and other clients at the spa to minimize the traffic that we have at any one time.
- the float tank disinfection system which uses a four-stage filtration and disinfection is now being run for double the time. This system completely removes the water from the float tank and uses ozone, UV light, a micron filter, and hydrogen peroxide to disinfect the water. All of these steps alone have been shown to kill COVID-19, combined they are far more powerful still.
- all surfaces in the float rooms and the float tanks are disinfected with hydrogen peroxide between each individual. Because of the density of the humid air in the float room, particles, including viruses like COVID-19 settle to surfaces very quickly and by treating all surfaces completely with hydrogen peroxide we are able to ensure that there's no presence of COVID-19 in the rooms by the time you come in for an appointment.
- The sauna is dry heat not occupied by more than one household at a time. It’s also completely disinfected with hydrogen peroxide, plus the heat of the sauna has also been shown to effectively kill COVID-19.
- Our HRV and air filtration system from the beginning has been a powerful way to maintain air quality and safety with external air exchange.
- All contact surfaces in common areas are also disinfected with an approved COVID-19 disinfectant between any visitors.
- Staff and patrons must be screened for COVID-19 prior to entering the building and for appointments.
I want you to know we have your safety at the top of our minds at all times as we all face this pandemic and its concerns.
